Cold and flu tablets

When I was working in Australia, there are plenty of cold and flu tablets available over the counter, like #codral cold and flu tablets, #dimetapp cold and flu tablets and also plenty of home brands just to name a few. The ingredients are paracetamol , pseudoephedrine , dextromethorphan and a drowsy or non drowsy antihistamines( differentiating the day / night tablets) . But unfortunately in Malaysia non of these cough suppressant included tablets are registered or sold here , which is a pain ! You'll have to take tablets and drink cough syrup separately when you have a viral influenza with a cough ( yuck ! ) why do adults have to drink cough syrup when they could swallow tablets ? ( and the cough syrup comes in the deceiving flavors , cherry and black currant , apricot and orange or fruity but they are nothing close to the exact fruit .I'd like to wish for a cough syrup that taste like cheezels or salted caramel ice cream in the market one day ..
